During the consecration of a person, would the symbol used be some form of the combination of micro and macrocosm or is it tooled to the entity to be later invoked?

I'm unclear of exactly what ritual (or ritual purpose) you're talking about.

I'm guessing that you read a specific reference and are jumping in as if we were all reading alongside you and knew the context 😉

In chapter XIV of part III of Liber ABA it describes a method of consecration; is this only to be performed on the inanimate?

The primary intent of that chapter is to discuss the consecration of external things such as talismans, as well as consecration of the space wherein one is working.

But all consecrations, ultimately, are consecrations of self. There is a definite stage that I think should exist in anyone's magical growth wherein, having consecrates many things, one undertakes to find the way that these have been self-consecrations.

Is there a ritual which prescribes the application of the Holy Oil to the magician or is it just for objects and cakes of light?

Many. That's the kind of thing where you can make up your own. It's commonplace prior to many serious magical undertakings.

There are also rituals of initiation that amount to anointings and where oil may be used by an initiator to seal certain specific work.
