    Greetings All,

Some friends & I are celebrating the Feast of the Elements this coming Autumnal Equinox & are vexed as to what to cook for the Feast of Air. We have considered something utilizing aromatic herbs & honey, but we need something as a base for these flavors to cling to. Does anyone have some advice on a food that corresponds well to the element of air & would work with honey & herbs?

For earth we are doing rosted portabellos with shallots & garlic served with potatoes...for water we are serving a vegetarian sushi with waterchesnuts...for fire we are roasting jalapenos...& for spirit we are consuming wine & strange drugs 😉 - so everything is covered except air!

    Thanks for any help 😀

Hows about some sort of poultry? Chickens don't fly but you could go for some duck or whatnot.

If you're vegetarians already, then you're just a step away from celebrating a genuine Feast of Air:

Sounds lovely. Be sure to invoke each of the elements before partaking of the respective dishes. For the Feast of Air, have each person describe an imaginary dish, its exotic and expensive ingredients, texture and taste.. you get the idea.

    Dobrou chut!

I had this same issue when writing one of my own rituals. I thought of birds but my partner doesn't eat them so I changed my mind and went with HONEY. You can make a bunch of things that have honey in them or eat it raw.

We actually decided on baked acorn squash glazed with honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger & clove!

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law

...feast of air? fascinating... i've always seen the "feasts of the times" as corresponding to spirit...

all that aside, we're doing a pot luck, heh. i'm making vegan chili 😜

Love is the law, love under will

"What does everyone use for all the other Elements? (I didn't want to go and start a new thread.)

I have only used wafers, consecrated for about a week each, on the hour relating to the element, and using the spices, plants, or whatever else is eddible and corresponding to the element upon the Tree. For Spirit I use an elixir made from consecrated, and frozen Amrita.

Using birds for Air, although very obvious, has never crossed my mind. I am curious to know what you guys use for Fire, and Spirit (when feasible)."

For Fire we're having grilled jalapenos stuffed with a cayenne cream cheese & topped with a chilied cheddar...the same will be wrapped in spicy bacon for the carnivores.

The Feast of Spirit will consist of wine & strange drugs. 👿 (I'm sure a few other things will end up being eaten as well... 😉 )

Cakes of Light will be served throughout.
