Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.

I smoke (cigarettes & cannibis) and -- being a teenager -- have a "lax" diet. And I've noticed that there are differences in the results I get from meditation and rituals -- which I presume is normal. But often, if I had been smokeing tobacco or eating unhealthy food, my results are either harder to acheive, or uncomfortable and disturbing. Is this normal? Would it be wise to quit smokeing tobacco and pick up dieting?

(On the otherhand, cannibis produces fabulous results. I wonder if this is just "being high" or a genuine increase in magick sensitivity.)

Your observations are pretty right on! Yes, it's good to quit smoking for health reasons and to stop being a contributor to air pollution for everyone around you - and for the other practical reasons you mention. And yes, diet is a huge contributor. The state of your body especially affects the messages the subconsciousness floats around... so go for it.

BTW, one of the main tasks of C.O.T. Course I is the monitoring of diet and what you do for (or against) health in general, and using the diary to track this. It's important to the work. A few months of attentive mindfulness on this tends to contribute long-term mindfulness. (The same task is part of the Malkuth work in Temple of Thelema.)

In his book Conscious Eating, Gabriel Cousens does an amazing job of incorperating diet into The Work.
