There is a rather big error in this video in the beginning."Yeah, I noticed this too. He rang the 1st battery 1-3-1 instead of 1-3-3-3-1. Other than that i thought the video was quite good. Well, he omitted the ABRAHADABRA as well (didn't catch that but read the comments).

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
This ritual is adapted for the daily use of the Magician of whatever grade. As I am not a member of the Order, I have no grade. But I am familiar with the LBRP and have been practicing Liber XLIV with quite positive results. Is there any reason why I should not use Liber V?
thanks - Cody WarrenLove is the law; love under will."
93,
Liber V vel Reguli is intended as an invocation of the forces of the New Aeon. This involves some intense stuff that can be seen as destructive and/or catastrophic, as the New Aeon "current" (so to speak) requires the breaking-up of old patterns, habits, and beliefs which can lead to a lot of suffering... which in turn leads to a lot of growth. As with all magick, this is exactly what you want but I believe this ritual is specifically intended to cause these changes within a specifically Thelemic "current."
You should try it out. Experimentation is the true way of magick. If it works for you, then great. If you find you are having some issues, you may want to back off and do more fundamental magical and yogic to build a firmer foundation. Hope that helps.

It means you're a FREAK! It's probably a good sign that it may be right for your temperament and current stage of development. Hope you have a good time with it.

Hey, last night I was reading about the liber Reguli, and watched some videos of it being done on youtube. it was quite a lot of words and moving around in 360 degree circles.
-
It IS pretty grungy. I think (especially given your reaction) that a banishing right after is good magical sense.
At a different stage in your work, you may (or may not) have a different reaction.
Personally, I think Reguli is mostly only of significant use to people so entrenched in the GD ritual model that widdershins motions and averse pentagrams freak them. It's then a "break the rules, slap yourself in the face until you wake up and can have more than one thought at a time" ritual.
-
What is meant to be inverse is the magician, not the pentagrams. The magician is standing, or rather, hanging from the Earth, below him is the abyss of space, and to his North is the cardinal sign of Aquarius, to his South is Leo, to his East is Taurus, to his West is Scorpio. Not only does this place the elements in an unusual place to the non-observant one at first (East is now Earth, South is still Fire, West is still Water, but North is now Air) but it shows the zodiac at a midnight hour if Taurus where rising (and Scorpio would be setting). The effect of this is to turn the world on its axis! No longer is the central consciousness of the magician centered within a solar ritual (such as the LBRP does) but a cosmic ritual, he is now the center of an universe!

I was thinking about it earlier today , and I thought of it like that ...I was thinking "they aren't really inverted if you were looking from space". You made it sound a lot more beautiful and interesting than the way I was picturing it

I would stick with the astral blue such as in the LBRP.

Astral blue pentagrams in the LBRP. I have always seen them red like fire and the hexagrams and column in a blue?? Interesting, I don't recall actually ever reading anywhere what colour they should be. Thanks for that comment.

In the late 1980s I undertook a Working based closely on Liber V vel Reguli, working daily for about a year or so, and found it very interesting.
There were certain things that I didn't stick to - I rarely use robes or weapons, and I didn't mark the position of Boleskine when passing that point of the circle, though on the other hand I did retain the spiral dances - but I found it to have powerful effects on consciousness/awareness.
During the last few weeks of practise, I found that violence was following me around, manifesting in people around me though never touching me personally. Towards the end of this period, one evening I was walking across the road, and heard a muffled explosion. I remember thinking at the time "Ah, the IRA bombing campaign has started early this year", then saw that a car in front of me had burst into flames from under its engine bonnet. At the same time, there was a sudden and strong sensation in my solar plexus, and I knew with absolute certainty that this event was connected with my daily working.
So, exploding cars and surrounding violence apart, this is a very interesting Working to undertake and one that I can recommend.
