    :All Smiles:

So i have a question in regards to a reference made in Liber 31

" \ = 418."Thou knowest not." Your key opens Palace. CCXX has unfolded like a flower. All solved, even II.76 & III.47. Did you know ^ = 3.141593? And oh! lots more!" (srd.) AL'AIN the Priest....666

If someone knowledgeable WILL please inform me of the origin or meaning of the above quotation, specifically the bolded part, i would be very honored.
    And Thank You.

""Al Ain" is just a translation into Hebrew of Crowley's magical motto "TO MH", which in turn is the phrase "To Me" from the Book of the Law transliterated into Greek letters... "TO MH" and "Al Ain" mean "The Not", an annoyingly ungrammatical phrase in any language, but then apparently not only is spelling defunct in this Aeon, but grammar and literacy in general."

    Excellent points.

For the most part, I think the annotation signature in Liber 31 is just an "identity of the moment," the particular mood AC was in. It's an occupational hazard of having a string of magical mottoes and identities.

A few minutes after making my last post, I realized it was all wrong. I've deleted it (as best I could -- I don't see a Delete Post button), but the damage has been done. (I'm ashamed to say I violated, in spirit, my own principle: If you insult someone's intelligence, at least spell it correctly 😄)

You should see an X button in the upper right corner of your own posts. I'll go ahead and delete it for you.

But it also had some great stuff!

If you could delete your quotation of my mistake, I'd be even more grateful. 😊

I edited the quotation to remove the mistake part and leave the rest. (Is there another mistake I missed?)

Gmugmble, thanks for the great information.
You as well Jim. I must have missed something
what with all the deleting going on but it would
seem irrelevant given the more than sufficient
data set presented. And thank you.

Well, I don't think "Al Ain" really means "The Not" in Hebrew (though it might in Arabic).

I think it probably does. It's Arabic for sure - and "al" is the definite article = and "ain," I think means the same thing in Arabic and Hebrew.

93 and Greetings to everyone here. I happened upon this post and thought I might mention in regards to "AL A'IN the Priest" that this was a previous incarnation of A.C.'s. For this see Liber VII chapter vi.
