Book of law as a Talisman

I just learned that Crowley used the Book of Law as a Talisman. Along with pieces of poetry.
Does this mean that it should actually be consecrated before being employed in ritual?I recently began clearing out my ritual space of non-consecrated items.
Is there an official Book of Law consecration ritual? I'm thinking I should just declare it consecrated after preforming Liber Reguli.
Any thoughts on this?
