Well this is my first time on this site but all I can say is I'm so thankful I found it. 😄

A year ago my best friend introduced me to Crowley and Thelema. Instantly (obviously) something felt familiar, it all made perfect sense and was the closest thing to identifying what I felt inside. Having said that, My friend isn't really able to give me much advice in regards to Where to begin?

I am in possession of Magick Book 4 Parts I-IV, The Book of lies, Moonchild and Diary of a Drug Fiend.

I'm slowly understanding the more and more I read but I think talking to other people on the subject whom obviously know alot more then myself or my friend would be very very helpful.

I would love to listen to anything anyone was willing to offer me. 😄

I am above you and in you. My ectasy is in yours. My joy is to see your joy.

Hi there, Ms. Miller, I'm fairly new here as well and also have only been into Thelema for around a year. 😃 And my name is also Miller. But I know how important learning must be to you as someone who felt this intensity, it's the same for me, so I'll offer whatever insight this fellow neophyte can.

For one thing, Book 4 is brilliant, I actually finished it in its' entirety just the other day. I highly recommend that book as your first focus, trying all of the exercises in the text and the libri(as in Liber O vel Manus et Saggitae, at VI, 6, B) found in the Appendecies. The complete "Magick" is invaluable in that it most of the exterior texts mentioned--most--can be found in the back somewhere.

I am personally saving his novels, as in Moonchild and Diary of a Drug Fiend, for once I've gained a thorough knowledge and appreciation of his theorems, which books like Book 4, 777, Goetia, etc. are great for. The Book of Lies seems to me to be in a league of its' own, and, again, personally, I believe it is for the more advanced students to reach a higher level of depth in these studies.

But there is no one Path to define another, and yours will be quite thoroughly Yours, I am sure. I wish you the best of luck.

    Max
