The iffy part of the (peer reviewed) article:

""Perhaps Marx wasn't too wrong when he called religion the opium of the people: morphine comes from poppies, cannabinoids from marijuana, and LSD from mushrooms; each of these has been used in one or another religious ceremony." said Gerald Weissmann, M.D., Editor-in-Chief of The FASEB Journal. ""

I KNEW SOMEONE WAS PUTTING ACID IN MY MUSHROOMS.

It's a little troubling know that Mr. Gerald Weissmann, M.D. of New York University, Editor-in-Chief of "FASEB" (A Biology Journal who's cabinet members include graduates of Stanford University)- believes that LSD come's from Mushrooms.
    😱
    Either an honest mistake,
    or
Terence McKenna was correct when he asserted that the "counter-culture" knows a great deal more about drugs than the scientific community.

    😆

Actually this is correct; LSD is (or at least originally was) derived from ergot, a fungus that attacks grain.

Perhaps the word "mushroom" is not quite as accurate as the word "fungus," however.

Burning an incense purifies the air and improves our concentration and focus especially during meditation. An incense can change our mood, certain kinds of incense can produce a very calming effect, and we can very quickly build up positive associations with a particular scent, so that the mind becomes quiet and a retreat-like atmosphere settles around us.

or he might have been confusing lsd for psylocibin... common mistake since the effect is somewhat similar...

The smell from incense is absorbed by the mucous membranes of the nose and moves directly to the center of our brain, where it influences our emotions, hormones, our nervous system and our perceptions. Always use a Legal Incense.

What is a "legal incense" ?
I resent that it links to your commercial site.

I had wanted to talk about this...
But wasn't sure how appropriate, and I didn't want to ot your thread......like the other poster...

But, recently there has been available for purchase at Native American Smoke shops, gas stations, Hooka stores, hyrdoponic stores, novelty stores like hot topic, and other such places.... some incense, as well as bath salts that are more then they say they are.

These legal incensed, which are actually just herbs like lavender, Mullen, thyme, and other such smelly things....and then the herbs are sprayed with a chemical that mimics THC, and LSD....but is at this point completely legal.

They clearly state on the package that this product is not to be consumed and or smoked.

    But of course, they are.

I frequently go to the Tonawanda Nation, and have many native friends there. I see the masses of non natives, come to buy tax free smokes and gas, and I see the youth who followed their parents, coming in the car loads, buying the smokes, and now buying the incense.

Well, stupid is as stupid does, and it seems as if our emergency rooms are being overun with doped, who are smoking this shite, and can't handle the buzz. They think they are dying, and freakin out.

Parents got wind of this, and after some team work with Burea of Indian Affairs, we, american DEA invaded this Soveign Nation, and not only confiscated all these legal incense, but also millions of dollars of cigarrettes, which were being sold in free unregulated ziplock packages, which are called rollies.

I don't smoke, but my husband does and these rollies cost 10 bucks a carton.

I was ironically there the day the Feds came and did this.
Right after, I just missed the bust, so to speak.

I was utterly mortified, The smoke shops, owned by Americans were not busted, and to this day, I can walk down the street to the local Gulf, where my good friend Habib, runs his Afganistia hook a, on the side and still buy Spice.

I am enflames about this whole thing, as these were long time acquaintances that I had at the Tonawanda Nation, and they rightfully feel raped, and isolated and again, brutalized....while right outside there borders other people where doing the same thing, and were not confiscated and raided.

I have tried to get officials to apologize, and they won't. I have tried to advocate for the Nation with no response from any elected official.

All I could do was offer my own weak apology.

But anyways, that's what was meant by legal insence.

March 2011, the federal government banned the following five chemicals used in K2 and Spice: JWH-018, JWH-073, JWH-200, CP-47,497, and cannabicyclohexanol. These chemicals are now considered a schedule one controlled substance.

Thanks, Codeblackincense. I now know what I SHOULD NOT spend my money on... the little bit of it I have.

The guy who made JWH and other synthetic cannabanoids said that people should just use marijuana and THC in medical and recreational use.

Did you know that the reason spice chemicals are there, is because the government found out multiple chemicals in marijuana combat many types of cancer, especially ThC itself. They paid this guy who made all the spice chems, invented them, to invent them and test them out for their medical uses.

    You know what happened next.

Veronica, that is some terrible shite to hear. I am sorry and would like to extend my feelings in the direction of your friends. I am 1/8 native american, I think Cherokee but they are not completely sure, but it is a dominant gene and it shows for real. I have no hair on my chest and I'm 32 and my facial hair has just started to come in all the way.

I am completely at home in the woods for weeks at a time in just a makeshift shelter or a tent, and can survive off of anything. Natural instincts are ablaze as well.

    Again, sorry to hear that.

Again, THANKS, codeblack incense, I will go out in my town today and legally buy some cannabis for my back pain because it's the only thing that works. I was gonna order from your site until I saw that you tried to hijack and bastardize a thread about legitimately using incense for meditation and magick, NOT for getting high.

This raid was at the tail end of Feburary, and funny thing is that packages that were taken all are clearly labeled to not have those specific chemicals in them. Who knows what is in them......very powerful stuff synthetics.

    sigh

Oh I don't have any hair on my chest either, but I am a Scout and a leader of a whole pack.

I must say, I'm starting to see your puns rather quickly, as I read them now, actually.

I don't know if it is appropriate to complete the joke you set me up for in the forum. 😆

But I will say that people with indian blood do make great lovers.

Speaking of psychoactive incense, I've noticed that if I am in a very meditative state, very introspective, and combine it with incense, it serves to activate a higher state within me, or remind me of the smell of a higher state. Nag Champa is a classic indian incense and I believe has been used for a very long time, it's what I use.

Sage is good as well, especially the Diviner's Sage of Oaxaca, Mexico. Look it up, it is very spiritually active as an incense if used properly.
