Bill, for you I would recommend starting from the very beginning. Get rid of any advanced advice you've received so far. Just worry about the basics. Get a job. Keep a job. Pay the rent. Cook your meals. Go to sleep. Learn to enjoy having responsibility. Learn to enjoy acting responsibly. Make responsibility your reward. That's the beginning. Things should start to change and more sensibly so from there. Let's not yet look at fast moving pictures and the magic of the roller coaster until we are sure you've learned to stand on your own two feet.
