Ghost Hunters!

"Do what Thou Wilt.
Ok, I always see these ghost hunting shows like Ghost Hunters on the Sci-fi channel, and wonder could they do something to evoke more activity? What's everyones thoughts on ghost hunting etc? What could we do as magicians in this situation to get things going?
Just curious to get your impressions.

The answer to your question is yes.
If you want to know how to get more 'activity' from non physical entities then you need to discover what is it that enables a non physical entity to manifest on this plane? When you have the answer to that then you can set about finding ways to utilize the answer

The poor guy probably went to look up "assiah" and "yetzira".
Wouldn't it be funny if it WAS one of the guys from the ghost hunting shows? It's funny how the word "bump" is in the last sentence of the last post, as if he subconsciously wanted to communicate "bump", like a standard forum "bump"(what do you all think of this, anyone else going to chime in.)
Well I feel like I must. Those ghost hunting shows all try to exploit the supernatural, and I'd say from psychic awareness that 98% of the "supernatural" phenomena is man-made.
The real reason I feel like I must chime in is that ghosts don't need to be agonized, and taunted to waste their energy on the level of assiah. I'm sure ghosts have a constant fear of falling by their own momentum and going into the "hotter", lower parts of creation, so they are probably not wanting to waste their energy. This paragraph is true to my experiences from psychic awareness and astral travel. (Death-astral Travel. Try some darker invocations and employ datura in your rituals.)
Now these ghosts are looking to "cross-over" ie cross into the light of procreation so they can re-manifest themselves with material bodies on the Earth again.
(The light most ghosts communicate about being able to see is actually moments of procreation they can jump into.. ie flash of sperm created in testicle, or flash of sperm dissolving into egg, or even flash of egg being created by mommy. When one jumps into that light, they are actually in three different places at once. This is a vivid memory I reactivated over 10 years ago and it gets more vivid the more I think about it.)
I think taunting them to waste their energy would be blasphemous in the eyes of a true Mage.
A true Magician would want to balance the powers of the supernatural, whatever that might be or entail, not "stir shit up" to try to get effects, rushes, thrills, proof, or the obvious ones, money and fame.
Thank you all.

"I ran into some very excellent dinosaur ghosts not to long ago.
It was very humbling, experiencing their endurance as a species.
I do not believe that most supernatural experiences are man made.
Not at all."That's one I haven't heard before.

I was only stating that productions on television that portray so-called "supernatural" phenomena pretty much use any weapon in their arsenal in faking spiritual activity to make their worthless cash.
(Isn't it sad that nowadays, the one thing besides love and Magick that could be "worth" something is worthless? No gold, nay even silver to back up a single dollar with the contract we've got with our government now. Same with other countries. Maybe Japan and the Nazis that run the world have some sort of stash of precious metals and stones, maybe enough to back up their paper money. But according to our "contract" with the government and the dept. of treasury, we are not even guaranteed that our coins are backed up by something worthy.) -

Modern day spiritualism got it's start a stones trow away from me, with three sisters who made the world believe they were special enough to make spirits rap. Turns out the Fox sisters were putting on a show.
I watched those Telly shows TAPS ect when they first came out, thought they might do some credit to the field. But they dont. -

Me either.
I wonder why?
Wait, are you talking about ghost dinosaurs,
Or supernatural experiences being man made? -

I've often suspected that a lot of supernatural experiences are man made, because most of mine could easily be written off as cheese dreams.

Lol were you talking about me as maybe someone from a ghost hunting show? No lol! Just was curious and asked. I often found myself watching these shows with my kids, and wondered if there were anything these people on the shows could do magically to bring more activity. But i personally do not ghost hunt nor have a desire to. My curiosity didnt come from any serious interest nor serious moral consideration. It was more of a simple curiosity on my part. I feel personally fear itself lends strength to these (real) phenomena.

Now that I've been hear awhile I can see clearly that you're not some person looking to exploit the supernatural.
But isn't it interesting how people that do exploit praeternatural phenomena end up end up?
I am trying to remember more instances, but the only one that springs to mind now, is the drab story of Anton Lavey, the "founder" of "Satanism". I'd think if Set would want someone to represent him, it wouldn't be someone who ravaged through the old books, including Crowleys, pulled a couple of interesting pieces out about darkness and liberty, and created a church.
Anyways, after founding the church, he had a serious girlfriend, I believe who he planned to marry. She was shaggin' this fellow Anton didn't like too much, so, probably for the first time, he comes to our dear Satan and asks him to destroy the guy, in what was probably a convoluted ritual.
Instead of just the guy dying, the guy and Anton's girlfriend died in a horrible car accident days later.Set 1. Fake Guy 0.
Now that Anton is dead, game Set, and Match.Have fun, kids.

Wow I never heard that story about Levay before! I think its because of people who do behave like this, that the Adepts of the past (and today) hold aspects hidden behind unintelligeable symbolism. And of course oaths of secrecy.
Btw is this just a rumor or are the facts recorded? I never liked Levay, I peeked at his stuff a long time ago out of curiosity and was blown away how he had used the Enochian keys and changed their meaning!

Yes, Daegal, that was the first thing that really got on my nerves about his stuff. But yes, he actually recorded the event happening, and at least used it as a warning to his Church about "Not performing Magick unless you know what you want on all levels and not be unsure of anything."
I'm paraphrasing, but almost his words for sure. But friendly warning to his Church or no, he should have just hung up his horns and cape, and became something else for history to respect and not criticize as all true Magicians do when reading Lavey.
The name of the girl escapes me, so does the name of her beau. However I remember specifically reading this out of Lavey's personal work.
Have a great night.
