Chronozon and Chromosomes
-
Chronozon is a dragon-serpent wrapping itself around the spiral of the milky way and then the rest of the universe, keeping time as it's name suggests "Chronos".
Chromosomes are segments of DNA, which is a serpent-like spiral of two strands looking much like the serpents of a Caduceus Staff, wrapping themselves around a central point where they meet and connect.
I'm sorry, it's late and I'm up reading and whatnot, and stumbled across this sound-alike correspondence and had to throw it into someone else's head for possible results.

Michael Hayes wrote a very interesting book called The Hermetic Code in DNA, the sacred principles in the ordering of the universe.
He give s some great insights into galactic chromosomes....

Well, first, you spelled it wrong. It's "Choronzon," not "Chronozon."
Second... just to be clear... you made up that imagery, right? It's beautiful, but I'm not sure it's at all accurate. It certainly doesn't match what little we have of Choronzon from, say, the vision of the 10th Aethyr. But, as I said, it's beautiful

The sound-alike is quite tempting... until you spell the name correctly. Then it disappears.

I am very sorry.. I will have to find my sources on how Choronozon is relateable in dozens of ways to Chronos, the serpent that holds time in the Milky Way. ... here lemme find somethin' real quick..
There.. the opening page explains the gist of what I'm getting at. It's funny I read this page over a month ago and I was reading something last night which sparked my memory of the celestial serpent, and posted on here.
Now I remember where I got the idea from, this web page.
Please give it all a quick read.
And I must say, I have been reading Crowley for years and am an excellent speller from the first grade on.. and I have never read nor spelled that name wrong. So it must have been some divine pun as stated above.
Thanks so much, Veronica, I will check this out pronto.

..,. And brothers and sisters, let us not forget the Kamailos (sp?), the beast that reigns in Daat, in the abyss, wrapping itelf around the 3-stranded rope that connects to the higher elements.
This is almost like saying "You humans only have two strands of DNA? Wow, here's a dragon to help you get back to twelve, but we'll start with three."
Get me?
I dunno, I must visit to contemplate this to a further point of understanding. (My inner peace. Much different from Mr. )

Did I miss something? I can't find Choronzon's name anywhere on that page.
It talks about Teli, Nachash, Leviathan, Draco, Apep... not a Choronzon in sight.

I'm sorry.. but after reading that page I read a bit into Crowley's work and elsewhere, and found a pretty tight relation between Chronos and Choronozon.
I apologize if I cannot find my references, but I will look for them.
Perhaps I shall google "choronozon and chronos". More than likely I shall use a text/doc/html search engine to search my hard drive for the same thing. I've got every site from horuscenter, sacred texts, hermetic, and almost any other site you can think of, backed up on my hard drive so I can search just those sites in relation to Magick whenever I wish.
When I find something I will report back.
Sorry about the f... i mean punning confusion.

A chord is not a thing in itself, but an interaction between two or more other things.
The event horizon of a black hole, the battlefield of the Gita, Corazone is the Spanish word for "heart."
-
Like the heart of the Universe. Or the heart of space since time is the motion of space.
I wonder what the Spanish word for celestial serpent is.

"Divine pun, or Choronzon inspired confusion?
It strikes me that you might need to refer to Liber O chapter Chapter 1 verse 5.
If it were me, I'd make a note of this and then evict all thoughts of a Choronzon/Chronos connection from my head.
As an extra bit of consideration: In the early work it is necessary to devote yourself to Binah, (The sphere of Saturn/Chronos), due to the Malkuth/Binah connection. The hard thing about this is that we have to bring our minds attention away from distractions and dispertion's of all types.
Mental dispertions could well be characterized by Choronzon, although there is a lot more to him than that.Just a thought

I understand exactly what you mean, even though you threw more into that message that would make me think more of the connection.
I wasn't very serious about a "divine pun", but i very much was. I am able to dismiss bullshit very, very , very easily. I have been very psychically open since a child, and there is something beyond confusion to this.
For instance, Saturn/Chronos is specifically attributed to Set and Satan, in Crowley's work. If you wish for a reference I shall find one quickly.
Chronozon is a beast sent to tempt, confuse, or "Rattle the Bones of Saints Like You and Mister Jones." The Power itself looks backwards through time, if not looked at appropriately. I reference ancient hebrew beliefs that time is not actually in front of us, but behind us. The past is in front of us, the future behind us.
But at least our exalted Prince dances deosil now and isn't burdened by looking at things backwards. Quoth Asmodee

Oh, and Binah is where the sacred Triangle resides that keeps Choronzon under the power of whoever uses it. Specifically, and originally Babalon.
However it doesn't take King Solomon himself to summon demons to do his bidding. The Goetia has been employed successfully. I reference much of Crowley's work.
And what he did with the Sacred Triangle did in fact keep Choronzon from destroying him and his disciple.
