I'm really thrilled to be a part of these forums! I'm Dan sending greetings to you (yes you sitting in your chair right now reading this YOU) from the snow capital of the world Buffalo N.Y.! I've been studying Thelema on again and off again for almost 12 years (now I feel old). I first heard about Aleister Crowley, Thelema and OTO from a friend who has since stopped practicing and was curious but worried in my naivety (feeling I, clearly, had all the answers on those subjects after beating the Activision game Nightmare Creatures) and started reading some of the books she had finished. Any who after picking up one (uno) book on the rituals of Thelema I dove in head first (and by "head first" I mean pin wheeling off a cliff... on to rocks...). After being alone in those woods for about a few years I abandoned (what I felt at the time was) the Great Work in favor of battling a demon of my own called substance abuse. I never truly lost an interest in Thelema and now that I'm on the other side of the war I waged against myself I feel a pull back to the Great Work only this time with a healthy mind and body. That was just a tiny portion of my flirts with Thelema (always feeling like I wasn't ready yet). About me as a person: I'm a nerd at heart. I'm teaching myself physics and calculus until I can save up enough to go back to school and major in them. If I'm not reading I'm usually found training for half marathons or playing WoW. I do want to use these last few lines to give some gratitude to a few Thelemites who I hope through some (slim) chance find this topic and read it: In the old facebook ('06-07) Thelemic community I had posted a few newbie questions in its forums. Some of the members contacted me in private and sent me copies of Liber ABA and The Law Is For All. Through pawn runs to go cop and an apartment fire. I still have them. I was never able to say "Thank you" so if you were one of those who contributed to the fund to send these books to people who truly wish to study Thelema: Thank you they mean more to me then I can type here.

OTO has a very nice black painted house in The downtown region if I recall.
