Chart corresponding to time periods -- Genesis references
-
Found an interesting chart during an image search tonight I did, containing the different time periods on Earth, along with what happened and what manifested itself upon the Earth, compared to the seven days of creation in the mindfuc... I mean bible.

Thought, I did, it would fit best in this forum.

i dont know how to add pictures and charts from this ipad...
But I like this one, I have the painting ahnging on my wall in the living room. -
There is one consistent problem with any attempt to take the creation order in Genesis 1 literally.
No matter what, the sun and moon don't exist until the 4th "day." So even if you try to interpret "day" as "epoch," you still have no sun or moon for a very, very long time.
It can only be taken literally if one shares an ancient worldview of how the Earth and heavens are set up.
Here's the best representation of what they literally thought that I can find quickly. Notice there are literally waters above the sky. However, in the scriptures listed in your diagram, some interpretive license has been taken.

Bear, this looks like the explanation of the firmament that Enlil made fall from the sky to flood the Earth, if ye are into Sumerian and Babylonian theory.
Seen this before, I have not, but does make sense when these old worldviews come into mind.
Many thanks, my comrades of Light.

Thelemic mage that is fantastic, I do think i heard about this guy who only recently put forward this viewpoint. I heard an interview with him on Radio National. I could not, for the life of me, find the interview on the radio National website though, sorry.
Do you have the link- a reference?

That's probably because the OT Noah/Flood story is probably derived from the Sumerian Gilgamesh story.

That is correct, Benjamin. Though not just Gilgamesh, but the entire Sumerian mythos.
Q, a reference I do not have nor a link, but I will definitely look around.
Thanks!

The Sumerians could have been completely right:
Enlil could have caused climatic changes on Earth that melted the ice caps to a great degree, causing intense precipitation of the waters above the firmament. Also, by itself, it could have raised the water level, however if warming was, (probably) the cause, the water would have been in constant flux of evaporation and precipitation, making it appear as if the rain caused all of the flooding.

You know, i might print that page out.
I read this blokes theory that the floods where the result of meteorites described by Ezkiel
www.amazon.com/The-Second-Messiah-Templars-Freemasonry/dp/1862042489
His book explained it all to me, very well- and a few other mysteries too.
In short, 7 meteorites came down, slammed into the earth and created a tsunami, it killed out most of Europe, Asia and more. That is why so many salt lakes are found on mountains and whales are found in central Australia.
also, he mentions how the Shroud is Jacgues De Molay- bless him
Though the poles meting theory does have merit too

Perchance all a part of the same cause for the deluge.
Much of history must hide itself behind nature's reset button.
Like "Across the Gulf", much of history is covered up by "natural events" that mask the true history of creation, leaving those that attempt to explain it appear either fools, liars, madmen, or hopefully as in the case of our Aleister, just imaginative people appearing to inspire creative thought.
