Lately, my core meditation practice has been with working in the heart space (the sacred space of the heart). I've read many books on this topic, and it involves just moving my consciousness into the heart space. When I do this, there is a notable change in my atmosphere. The polarity of my mind is completely gone.

From this state, this is where I try to explore the meaning behind certain symbols. I can trace symbols and 'move' into them until the atmosphere changes again in a slightly different way. I've been practicing this for several months now. I can 'feel' energy signatures of things in my surroundings (in my inner vision) and entities. I can move around spaces using my tactile senses (kind of like a blind person feeling his way around)

However I cannot see. I read about people having incredibly clear vision when doing these kinds of work and I would like to know how to develop this kind of sense. Does anyone have any tips to attain a sense of vision here?

Also, is what I am doing considered astral travel? Or would there be another word for this?

Different people have different tendencies to experience through particular senses (and thus through the inner analogues of the senses). In other words, some people are physically visually-inclined, and others aren't; and the same is true internally. This is subject to training but, at the moment, the thing to get is that nothing is "wrong."

Since you are meditating in a nonjudgmental space, if you want to work on the visual aspect I might suggest the "as if" approach: Without holding yourself to any answer you get, ask something like, "If this had a visual appearance, what does it feel like it would look like - and then just witness what images pass through your mind.

Or, don't worry about it, at least for now. It seems, for what you are doing, that experiencing the symbols and letting them impact your subconsciousness and plant future seeds, is more important.

"Also, is what I am doing considered astral travel? Or would there be another word for this?"

Kinda, sorta, not sure. You are certainly using the same part of your psyche that is natively astral. Again, I'm betting labels are getting in your way a bit (while you are doing a practice that is best label-free and judgment-free).

This approach actually worked wonders for me. At first it seemed artificial, then, suddenly, it was as if a doors was opened and the astral flooded in the imagery.

    Thank you!

I tried what you said. I am able to see much better (although the resolution is poor). But its a start. The vision only does last for a few moments. Its like my inner-eyes are heavy and its a struggle to keep them open.

If you have any tips for keeping them open I would love to hear them! Otherwise, I'll just keep practicing.

    😄
