(Checking...) Dogma and Ritual of High Magic, particularly chapters I and XXI of Ritual and chapter 17 of Dogma. It's not much. He also makes similar references throughout the rest of his work.Love is the law, love under will.

J"I am pretty good at reading palms, faces, blemishes, postures and tea leaves. With exception of the tea leavesand blemishes the other methods are based around the concepts of muscle memory. I personally think that because muscles are where we hold emotions, it would be more accurate to say that the features tell the story of heart activity......

Hmmmm! Good point! That makes sense to me, that emition, or tge emotional aspect (nephesh?) would be behind it. Except, im tginking muscle memory doesnt make sense as it relates to say face reading, in terms of bone structure (types of chins, head shape etc.).
My question then is, how or why would this personal information be encoded in lines and bumps etc., say in palms?

I would agree with muscle memory on the face reading, etc..
The more stress one begins to show in one's movements and even just sitting still, the more one begins to tighten and twitch one's muscles. There are human patterns for what muscles will manifest what type of wrinkle, and the more one studies them the more one notices them.

I agree, makes sense, but then again in face reading it deals with features that dont seem as linked to just muscle. For example it talks about the shape of the head and position of the eyes, the thickness of tge brows and size of lips. Things like that that are somewhat unconnected to everyday wear and tear so to speak. Also the fine lines of the palm, and the shape of ones fingers etc, I dont think that muscle memory woukd explain how the creases would foretell how many children you would have or any number of details these lines and features seem to predict.
Just a thought, IF there were a valid reason behind these sorts of things, it would be an interesting tool to align with High Magick etc., to help understand ones TW. Maybe give an idea to particular weaknesses etc.

93"Divintations of these sorts have an awful lot to do with the readers ability to recognize patterns, and families are where most of us pick up patterns, and express genetic patterns. This ability had in the past been very helpful to ensure our species survival. When I say that I can read a person, it has more to do with how they hold themselves, their voice, appearance, hair and skin, and overall symetry, and less to do with how long the legs are, how short the torso, or how lumpy the head.
The person that is being read for is a culmination of everything that has come before them, all ancestors and environments (combinations of nature and nurture) so when I look at a person I know that I am seeing a bit of everything that came before, (which will influence bone structure ) but that it is vital to se how that person carries all that, and what they are doing with it now.
Thoughts and feelings are energetic and if a person keeps that energy ie always smiling and laughing, that energy will manifest as a physical change in that person, ie laughing lines.

"Their is a good body of evidence that different people look different because of their natal charts, or in Vedic Doshas as well. I have always held that when and where we are born, as well as our fathers genes play an important role in how a person will grow up to look. Yet there is also interesting work in the field of maternal genetics as well as what the mother was experiencing while pregnant that may shed light on prenatal influences upon physical attributes.
The problem of this sort of reading is that it takes time and dedication, and personal reflection. My life experiences may prejudice me against women with upper lip hair, and as in any type of. Divination it is a great disservice to allow that sort of personal prejudice to affect the reading. It is also not commonly agreed upon what square fingernails may mean with a large mound of Venus. Unlike astrology which is most likely the very best tool for helping a person discover their character traits and personality.
Even though I can use this tool, I think it often reinforces negative stereotypes as well as a negative self image. People can't really change the lumps on their head, and seem to take it badly if they are told, oh see this...this says you have a weak heart and careless way. Most readers are not skilled enough to express challenges and opportunities in a positive light, and the patron ends up feeling hopeless, doomed, or cursed.
No one is cursed, no one is a victim each moment is an opportunity to shine.
