Whilst gobbling mescaline-containing cacti and smoking the best hash of the time, Crowley and Neuberg embarked on nightly wanderings in the deserts of Bou Saada, Egypt, etc. Crowley himself used a "shew stone" or a "seer's stone" to obtain passage through the aethyrs with the enochian calls.

What kind of stone did he use? I've done a bit of searching and so far nothing conclusive. Will I find it listed in 777, and if so, by which attributes of which key?

Please help, I would really appreciate it!

I have read somewhere, perhaps Visions and Voices by Jim (could be wrong), that Crowley's shew-stone was a topaz set inside a wooden cross.

    Thank you.

Does anyone have any experience with different stones used to scry or see?

Would electromagnetic conduance or resistance play a part in its function?

My first wand that I ever banished with was from wood that I fashioned well. I got into copper but directing my force throuh the wood was just as real, vibrant. Cool that Crowley set his stone in a wooden cross.

for a very long time I expieremented with different "stones"

I slept with some under my pillow, I spent time gazing into crystals, I adorned myself with differnt gems at different energy point on my body.....lots of good stuff to be had with all this research.

I will say that IME it depended upon what my intent was, what information i was looking for.

stones are a tool, like a wand and can make a job easier when the correct tool is used.

I personally think of stones in thier three groups (Ignegious, metamorphic and sedimentary) and use that as a basis for my work.

I will add that stones hold information, are keepers of Truths, and if you want the clearest truth I have found that the oldest Stones give the most true telling. think of it like this......a child can tell you the story of littel red riding hood, but Grandma has more details, more vocabulary and more memory to empower the story then the child.

I'm just curious... would ignegious rock correspond to fire? And metamorphic to water? Sedimentary earth?

Thank you for your help. 😀

And classic rock corresponds to air.

How curious are you? Any tests you might have in mind? Where might you mine for the data?

you beat me to that punch line. 👼 funny guy

    Mage:
I think you have a good mind to sort all that out. I will simple say, it may be so, it may be so right now, but it might not, and it might change. everything on this beautiful Body changes.

I fancy myself as a budding geologist. I feel that within the field of Geography lies All of the sciences. I learned more about myself watching a live video of the pacific rim of fire, and the conveyour belt that is the molten core of Gaia then I ever did during any "spiritual practice".

the evolution of our planet's formation and changing patterns is truth.

I use a sphere of obsidian ~3 inches in diameter. I've used clear and smoky quartz before but found it was easier to discern images in a black stone.

I had similar results and primary used a 3" black star sapphire corundum sphere. the different molecular structure of different materials I have found make looking with in easier. hexagonal, trigonal ect patterns of structure with in the compounds make certain works easier. YMMV

Yeah, Jim said the stone was set in a cross on this forum once. I forgot about that.

You will all be happy to know I have alchemically blended all 4 kinds of rock, including classic rock, into the ultimate seer's stone, set inside a giant inverse pentagram. When scrying, I see a lot of evil faces and whatnot. Is this normal for this kind of work?

I wonder how many people do that kinda thing?

    🍸
