Hahaha I have had experience with the Terrible Two's, and your spot on. When my 3yo nephew is ragin its a thing to behold all Force and Fire.

I understand the invincibility of Harpocrates. But are we saying here that RHK is the fully grown child of H and N? I don't wanna get Mars and RHK to mixed up, but I understand Mars as strong, purposeful and and having a clear direction for anger/violence/rage. I think of RHK as this kind of warrior God. Against this I can see the undirected, unfocused, undisciplined rage of the Child.

Or, is this the point. The purity perhaps of unrestricted rage, the Child unable to articulate, to express himself, give over to primal rage

Hey Brother, I am keen to offer input too, but also am unsure of the question and what you mean by:

"Let there be no difference made between any one"

This verse is obviously huge: and puts me in mind of Zen (Zen is the branch of Buddhism that has always spoken to me, it is very different from other forms) and one way I think of this is like a Koan (e.g.: if a tree falls in the woods etc....). It also puts me in mind of the diamond net of Indra. So, there's that, there are also mystical, contemplative angles, meditation etc. There are practical Magickal facets, there is Thelemic and New Aeon 'doctrinal' considerations. Will be happy to participate in a discussion here.

Hey all, another attempt to start a discussion about some things I've been thinking about (as I love all the different ideas and interactions in here once a discussion takes off) I am thinking about RHK, Horus as the Child and a God of War and Vengeance. Obviously the Hoor-Pa-Kraat aspect of Heru-Ra-Ha is straightforward, but what about RHK, Horus the elder. I assume of course that he is the elder child. But how do the ideas corresponding to childhood mix with the ideas of War and Vengeance, would not the Child warrior be inexperienced, ineffectual, playfully. I don't picture RHK as a half assed warrior. I experience Mars as a young man and could certainly see how a God of War and Vengeance could be a young even adolescent man. But HPK _ HPK _ RHK is a Child.

Or is he, perhaps he is only A Child in the sense of being THE Child of the infinitys (H and N). And from this point:

It is HRH who is the child of N and H, of which RHK is one side of the coin

And what do people think of HRH, RHK Hours etc as being the Child of:

Babylon & Chaos
Beast & SW
Osiris & Isis (Nephthys?)

Is the CHILD the CHILD of all MOTHERS & FATHERS And as the different parents represent different facets of this dynamic, so too does there progeny represent different facets of the CHILD.

I must stop, this is becoming a ramble (I apologise, I have just completed a 3000 word paper on competencies in the practice of psychology, it's 1am here in Australia and I am pretty worded out).

Anyway......the main point is RHK as Child and God of War and Vengeance. As I say, I enjoy all the different POV, even the nuts and the self professed Magisters Templi, Magus' and Impissimi, so please feel free to jump in.

Cheers Jim, that makes a lot of sense and was along the lines of what I was thinking. Also in my continued rereading of the old GD material I get the impression that there is quite a lot that the old GD crew considered evil, or perhaps it is better to say we're scared of, that Crowley dared to explore for the sake of completeness and wholeness, and with direction and validation from Aiwass, that gives us the beautiful A.'.A.'. (And I think the number 11 is a perfect example of this)

Thanks Jim. In reading your post it occurs to me that, though I wasn't conscious of it, I seem to regard the pentagram as a masculine symbol (perhaps because of Mars, microcosm as son, the figure of a 'man' ideas) think I need to do some meditation on the feminine here, some Venus, Binah and He associations with the penatagram, which after all is a figure of the balance of E A F W under spirit.

If the Star is an archetype of stars there will be food for meditation here too. In just reading and replying to this cooment there feels like there are some potentially very beautiful vistas on the horizon.

I have just been reading the old G.'.D.'. Knowledge Lectures again for the first time in many years and I'd forgotten how evil they thought the number 11 was. Obviously 11 is really important to us and am wondering if people know why Crowley moved away from the qliphothic associations and made the number so holy. Is this an old aeon New Jason change

Hey all,

There is an excellent thread here about the tzaddi he tarot swap and I have a question that relates somewhat to that. I am wondering what people think of He and it important relations to the pentagram. Along with many important correspondences, I can see a nice relationship to the Emporer, Aries and Mars, but am wondering what people think about the Star and Aquarius. Obviously the pentagram is a star but the Star of Aquarius has 8 points.

Can I ask Jim, we generally use the hebrew correspondences for Nox, as per the comments on Nox and the Mars force in BP, but why this isn't the case with Lux?

I should add I have been looking at relationships between Lux and Tiphareth, HGA etc ideas. I understand the use of Avr but I can't see anything Tiphareth(ic) in Avr (207), perhaps Atu V and Atu XIX? I certainly see what you mean about the Latin Lvx = ADNI, the 5 and the 6 etc

Hey all, am just wondering how people translate Lux to hebrew. I am thinking Lamed, Vav, Tzaddi (as Tzaddi is used for x in Nox) which gives 126. This number doesn't mean a lot to me but would like to hear if it does to others. From 26 there is YHVH, the sephira on the middle pillar and Ayin between Tiphareth and Hod. There is also the ideas of 12 and 6. I notice some people use Qof for x and this is very interesting as it gives 220 for Nox and 136 for Lux, also buy substituting Vav for Ayin in Nox and using Qof for Tzaddi you get 156. My thinking is that whatever value you use for x should be consistent for both Lux and Nox. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I also think Ashcroftt Nowicki is brilliant, she has a series of recorded pathworkings which are amazing, while all the correspondences may not be strictly Thelemic she does an incredible job and one can tell she is working from true insight gained from experience. Listening to her guided pathworkings always completely takes me into the path and are always incredibly vivid. I have also used these as jumping off points, have stayed in the sphere or path and done my own wandering and had my own interactions. The imagery really seems to get into the blood and I can vividly remember each pathworkings experience without having to have actively studied it. It is truly like a memory of a lived experience

FWIW I think these thread about Thelemic 'Gods' be it the aspects of Horus, Had, Hadit, Nu, Nuit etc are important ones and though old ground is often covered, new ideas, however small or subtle, usually emerge. I know personally that my understanding and conceptualisation of these ideas has evolved hugely over the years and continues to do so. It would have been nice to keep this thread (and quite a few others for that matter) on topic instead of the whole materialism thing (again) and the infantile bickering (again). This stuff is important and it matters and this is one of the very few places I have ever come across where there is a huge potential for some very bright and dedicated people (and I include the people who's contributed to this thread) to help each other and help Thelema. If there is a 'meaning of life' it is service and I fail to see how putting someone down or trying to puff yourself up is being of service to anything. We are Brothers and Sisters and while the word of the Law is Thelema the importance of Love and particularly Agape cannot be understated. This post sounds a bit lovey dovey, new age hand holdy, which makes me a little uncomfortable as I am a Thelemite and it is Force and Fire of the new Aeon that pumps the blood through my body, but, as I said, FWIW

In the banishing ritual of the Hexagram, I have always traced the water Hexagram starting at the top of the upright triangle then the bottom tip of the inverse triangle. I have been noticing a lot of people doing the reverse, ie starting with the inverted triangle then tracing the upright. I am sure my way is right as the point of the upright triangle is Saturn, but do people have any thoughts

I would appreciate some help with the colour scale ie king queen emperor empress. I know they relate to the tetragrammaton and Atziluth through assiah and are used for ceremony eg: Venus = green. But how are they derived and do they have other uses and why is the queen scale most often used eg Venus = green.

I am very aware of this and believe me if there was a teacher (of of few different things for that matter ) I wouldn't hesitate, but I really live in the middle of nowhere, and unfortunately like everything else I'll have to find my own way. But I am very careful. I think things take me a lot longer but that's because I do them slowly and properly. And now I have you guys! (haha). So any assistance would be gratefully received.
