After the introductory books by Regardie and Fortune, I recommend getting as many Crowley books as you can.

It is true that AGLA is to be pronounced in full, as you have written. The direction is clockwise, as written.

Yes, it's true that in the Star Ruby the movement is counter clockwise, but this is entirely a different ritual.

Also, recognize the similarity with the name Abraham.

Laberge is worth reading; many great techniques. He was my introduction into real magick. His opinions on 'what is happening' are his own, and don't affect the experience.

I think it is irrelevant whether you call it a lucid dream or astral projection. As for what is really happening, one could argue either way, and I prefer the larger worldview, instead of the narrow-minded materialism of Newton's paradigm.

Imagery which will mean the most to you will come from some self-analysis. Do some association with Thailand/Cambodia, children, one eyed people, and the feelings these things and places evoke. It will help.

As to the judgment of the first post, if I may say perhaps a little bit indelicately, I see the criticism of people who strive for wealth usually comes from those who have had plenty of it. It's just so bourgeois, n'est pas?

And as to the substance of it, no. It has been my experience that the majority of Thelemites might dream of money, but most are almost dead broke. That to me, is one of the aspects of the cosmic joke. As far as I know, I stand alone in my greed and lust.

And yes... give me wealth, shower me with precious gems, make me a magnet for opulence. We are to live in the world, but be not of the world.

I do find the myths surrounding its origin engaging, almost palpable; written on sapphire, Ratziel proclaiming the secrets of men from Mount Horeb, it being given to Adam, then lost, etc.

I've been coming across this book a few times now through various readings, and I've also seen in mentioned as "the mysterious Sepher Ratziel" in Jim's intro to "32 Paths of Wisdom."

Does it have a place in Hermetic Qabalah, and has anyone here studied it?
