I claim that Liber Aba (Book Four, aka "The Big Blue Brick") contains all you need for a perfect foundation. Also read and meditate on the writings in Liber Aleph (The Book of Wisdom or Folly). You might also learn a great deal from reading "The Law is For All." Of course, who wouldn't recommend "The Holy Books of Thelema" along side "Commentaries on the Holy Books of Thelema." Why not mention Jim's book, The Mystical & Magickal System of the A.'.A.'. (although I haven't read it, but I'm confident it plainly speaks on all you need). Oh, and lastly, go forth as your own leader - don't be anyone's follower. 😄

I am convinced that the best results (i.e., most successful and easiest) result from working formally within the system, under direct supervision.

Nonetheless, one value of the book is that the whole system is provided in a way that one can follow on one's own. One can still make substantial gains on one's own. There is a higher standard required in "busdting your own bullshit" and being careful not to be overly impressed with early results. (The early pages of Liber O are quite useful in this regard.)

Possibly this will even give you everything you need. In the worst case, it will provide you substantial foundation.

IMHO, changing the past, present, or future is a matter of perception, or quite possibly others that are "seeing things the way we see it"...and these things depend on more than a strict "objective" reality. Truth is relative. Memes seem to be a good example of this happening collectively...

Also, past, present and future presuppose a linear time theory and our modern method of setting clocks to the sun. In many states of consciousness, this method of time observance is ridiculous.

Can a Tarot reading "change" your future? If you mean "can it be a catalyst that affects my judgment of how I handle future phenomena?", then yes...but, ultimately, you're the only God that makes and perceives your own reality, thus affecting events in the "future".
