    This is a fun topic.

I would include not just eucalytpus, but copal, pine, and amber as resinous woods. For gums, liquidambar and nyssa. Especially for Nuit. You could use these as in extracts or oils for the aroma. The lotus and rose are good scents too.

For Hadit, almond is a good choice. Ambergris can be an addition. Even hemp seed.

For Ra Hoor Khuit, I good go with tallow for the base. You know, fleshy. 😄 And honey. And corn or other grain. And wine or grapes? But the other thing would be to use some kind of blood, even if it's just dragon's blood.

You can find most of the attributions in 777.

As a Thelemite, I might even buy a soap if I thought it was suitable, but I wouldn't bother with regular stuff like lavender or green tea when there are so many other brands.

Very cool project. When you are happy with your concoction, would you like to sell a few bars to us?
    Thanks,

When I am done with testing and from input from folks like you, I'll make it and sell it at my cost in bottles. I'm making a liquid soap - I find it easier and cleaner to use. I know the attributes in 777 but some are not appropriate in a soap and some are not available.

Keep throwing out ideas and I'll let you know about the results. The first ingredients I listed were not planned for use, they are the ones readily available as liquid natural soap. Ra Hoor Kuit seems to be the biggest problem. Peppermint is no good? How about cinnamon and dragon' blood? Where does Dragon's blood fall on the tree in 777?

Dragon's blood is the primary Geburan incense.

Cinnamon is really risky in a skin product!

PS - I initially thought that this thread was about episodic daytime TV dramas. 👿

    Hi All,

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

If I may chime in: I agree with the opinion that such a soap would best serve the purpose of a simple cleansing. An overly fragrant soap could interfere with the subsequent ritual. Hell, when I'm preparing for such work I haven't been satisfied with any soap and just go for very hot water and, at most, dried rose blossoms (since that to me seems to include the Supernal in the Form of Binah and the Briatic world--all this is quite idiosyncratic I know).

I'm leaning toward Hyssop and the most neutral (or at least light) scents possible.

Love is the law, love under will.

    Brother,

I am not 100% hooked on the idea, only thinking of it. I agree with you totally if I were going to be doing certain Kabbalistic work of a sephiroth since those "smells" may go against the work at hand. I was thinking of using it prior to General Thelemic work (if there is such thing!), meditation, ritual, etc. If I were doing specific work needing a very clean slate, then I would use something along the lines you suggested. Maybe it is a bad idea in any situation, I don't know. Just trying to get others opinions on it to see if it's worth pursuing.

    93 David,

I don't think it's a bad idea at all. I just wanted to chime in with some input. Actually, you could very well be on to something. Especially if you considered several different selections of soap. You know, one appropriate for prepping for a banishing,
another set of selections for invoking the various elements, etc.

I think you should be encouraged along these lines. IMAO (In My Arrogant Opinion, lol)

Sandlewood soap is nice and readily available. Chinese and Indian stores often carry the bar soaps and I think Trader Joes has a liquid form, of course making your own is fun too. 😜
