I'm doing some work with Zain, and in the Magickal Weapons column of 777 is listed "The Tripod".

Couldn't find anything inside the book, on thelemapedia, or here, as of now. What does it refer to?

I was initiated at Crux Ansata Oasis, July 27. I've been to their Gnostic Mass every month for over a year, now, so I've made friends with just about everyone. It was such a great experience.

I intend to go for my first degree in the future, but at the moment I'm joining the Army, so it could be a while. My only hope is that there'll be an OTO nearby wherever I'm stationed.

Besides the instructions I was given, what else can I do to prepare for the first?

Ok, so I had my first lucid dream today since writing this post. Basically realized I was dreaming, starting rubbing my hands to continue the lucidity (that's what I've read), looked around, didn't see anyone to ask, so I just shouted, "What is the name of my Holy Guardian Angel?!"
Immediately, as if someone was speaking in a circle around me, I got "AZRAEL." Then I woke up.

So now I have a lead, but I'll definitely have to have another lucid dream to confirm this.

It might help if, rather than giving mysterious cues and suggesting ways of looking at it, how about just give a pretty detailed, literal way of performing it so there's less confusion and more progress.

Los: First of all, the HGA is not a metaphor. Second, this is my own devised myself of self-discovery. There's no harm in trying. There is a difference between being scientific, and being a cynical asshole.

1. Have a lucid dream.

2. Ask dream character what my HGA's name is.

3. Repeat 1&2 several times to be sure.

4. Banish daily (already do that).

5. Chant name 24/7.

6. Discover number of name via all kinds of qabbalah.

7. Keep those numbers in sight.

8. Have lucid dream.

9. Ask dream character for HGA's symbol.

10. Repeat 8&9 several times to be sure.

11. Begin rigorous meditation exercise: chant name whilst visualizing symbol for several hours.

12. Make songs for him/her/it.

13. Basically do everything for him/her/it.

14. Success.

I was reading Liber Aleph and I came across Crowley referring to "Olun" as the "secret Name of my Lady", which he declares adds to 156, which is also BABALON. Then he goes on to say "I wrote down Her Earth-ame in Greek, MAPIE", which he says equates to the Phoenician name whôlon, "which by Interpretation is That which is Infinite, and Space; so that all is consonant with Nuit Our Lady of the Stars."

Could Olun be Nuit's secret name?

And yes, I've performed the ritual. Not perfectly, yet. Still haven't memorized it.

This is a ritual I, myself, created. It blends aspects of Liber V, the Star Sapphire, the Gnostic Creed's Tetragrammaton, and the GRotP all together, with added Norwegian (I freakin' love Norway).

1. Let the magician be armed with the Wand.
2. In the center of the circle, place the tip upon the bottom lip, draw deeply the breath, and expel, "Unna, alt ondt geni!" (Away, every evil genius!) while the wand is pointed away and behind you.
3. Draw a circle above the head, crying, "NUIT!"
4. Bring the wand down vertically to the Muladhara chakra, crying, "HADIT!"
5. Bring it back up to the Anahata chakra, crying "RA-HOOR-KHUIT!"
6. Make the Sign of Osiris Slain, repeating, "Solen, styrke, syn, lys. Dette er for tjenere Stjernen og Slangen." (The Sun, strength, sight, light. These are for the servants of the Star and the Snake."
7. Advance East, trace the Banishing Pentagram of Earth, vibrating "THELEMA". Make the Sign of Earth.
8. Advance North, trace BP of Air, vibrating "BAPHOMET". Make the Sign of Air.
9. Advance West, trace BP of Water, vibrating "BABALON". Make the Sign of Water.

I'm not sure why no one mentioned Pyramidos on my topic "Self-Initiation", but anyways, I found what I was looking for. I do have some questions, though:

1. I need some validation on this... on this link for the ritual (arcaneadvisors.com/archives/Libers/Liber%20DCLXXI%20-%20vel%20Pyramidos.pdf), where the transcriber's notes are at the end, the Secret Word is shown to be [DELETED], which adds up to 93. Is this the correct word?

2. How are the Invoking/Banishing Spiral Dances performed?

3. What does it mean where it says (Rubric as before)?

4. The part "He is slain by the Sword", how is this performed?

5. Parts where it says "Bar in (direction)", what is meant by this?
