Actually that is what Regardie claimed ( that Falcon Press were orignal G.D. ) but you can tell most of them are S.M. that have been altered to look like they were original ( for example, in the 0=0 he parses the Officer speeches like they did in the original G.D. and continued in the A.O. ). I believe he did this to get around the Llewellyn copyrights. I also like his original presentation much better than the Falcon Press edition but there are a number of diagrams missing from both...

You can verify that the Falcon Press Rituals are not the original by a careful comparison to the orignal G.D. Rituals and by the overtly Christian overtones that the S.M. brought into the First Order that was not present in the orignal G.D.

I think everyone suffers from "Advanced Student Syndrome" at one time or another. I'm just now emerging from that myself.

Just to add, and to some extent echo what has already been said:

The most important aspect of any magickal ritual is the formula being expressed at the core. The semantics and symbols are subject to change according to the will of the ritualist, but if the magickal formula changes, it is a very different ritual.

Take time to understand the ritual as given from another.
When the formula is comprehended, make small changes to suit your taste without disturbing the original formula.
Utilize the formula to craft a ritual entirely your own.

Not as succinct as Aum418, but it's an important point to recognize the substance of ritual as a function underlying the mechanics.
