A good friend of mine is giving lectures on "Altered Consciousness Through Sound." I find the subject very interesting, as music is our primary cultural intoxicant, and often taken for granted.

I have considered that as well, and am not opposed to an Artemisian current. It seems to me, however, that the Dionysian current would be, because of the hermaphroditic and thus Mercurial aspect, would possibly conflict.

i did my first hexagam ritual the other night and second pentagram one . i think its funny that a poor beginner like me didnt even know aout the abbreviations being abbreviations.

the funny thing is although I pronounced AGLA like agla and not Atoh Gibor Le'Olam Adonai at the end of the rituals i still felt very energised and energy was vibrating through my whole body as i lie down. it was quite nice.

i guess it goes to show that magic works even when you do it 'wrong' but i would like to know if there are any other blinds in crowleys rituals its quite annoying. one thinks maybe you could get even better results with the 'proper' vibrating of names.

The relation of the left hand to Chesed is communicated in Golden Dawn teachings in the fifth knowledge lecture. In the description of the microcosm the right hand is attributed to Geburah, the left to Chesed. In these relations also you find each finger is related to the Four elements and Spirit as thus:
Thumb...spirit
3rd finger...fire
index finger...water
little finger...air
and
second finger...earth

That is why the index finger of the left hand is attributed in Golden Dawn teachings as water of Chesed.

Bearing all of this in mind, one can use the fingers on whichever hand seems appropriate.
