I was hinting at the tendency people have to no longer remember URLs, "just google it."
Thus, "studying the tables" just becomes an exercise in using the search function, which in my opinion will not bear as much fruit.

In addition, I have to admit I prefer books that do not need batteries 😄

My experience is similar to what Jim mentioned about primarily being auditory.
But I really think the key isn't what most people think it is, in fact I think it's fairly simple.
Isolation, from the world. I'm a radiation therapist and I sustained a back injury from a patient
who was not very friendly. They sent me home after my MRI showed my back was shot.
During this time I lived with my gf (She was never home, always at work). I had no friends really,
but I didn't try to make friends either. I did practice magick, and what was so weird is that I was invoking when I thought I
was banishing almost as if I was unconsciously performing acts to conjure up the HGA without knowing it.
Then after around 8 or 10 months of this, I suddenly walked outside
and looked into the sky and started laughing and I had no idea why.

This happened a few times and always at dawn.

Then one day I was laying on my couch and a voice started to speak to me distinctly, I tested it immediately to see
if I was just going nuts or if this was some sort of imaginary being I created. It said "Write everything I say down" and
I replied, "With what?". The voice then said "Look to your left" and low and behold my gf had placed my magickal journal
there for no reason at all that morning along with a pen. I transcribed several pages of this message and still keep it to this
day. The final words were "I will return". I don't consider this to be the K&C, maybe the vision. But after that, my life turned upside down
as far as well... you'd think I'm crazy if I told you what I had seen. All I have to say is, those who speak of the wise men who retire for a few years
and come down with knowledge of the divine to spread among the peoples, there is something to that retirement. It's a knowledge that can only be
attained when the mundane distractions of reality and society are removed and you are only left with yourself.

Crowley's Liber Pyramidos was created during his John St. John retirement as a self-initiation, and is based on the A.'.A.'.'s version of the Neophyte ritual. This means that it was am implementation of the Z2's "Shin of Shin" formula.

Crowley advised that one create and utilize an Astrological chart for any important working. Personally, I've found that when one conducts a ritual in harmony with Planetary and Horary conditions, the working is far more effectual.

For instance: I've been writing up an invocation of Venus, which I intend to incorporate into a larger ritual this weekend. I'll be utilizing Sappho's "Hymn to Aphrodite" and certain Latin verses from Petrarch's "Bucolicum Carmen." On Saturday Venus will be in its own sign, Taurus, in a Grand Trine with Saturn and a waning Luna in Capricorn. In addition to this there is a Grand Trine in fire signs, between Mars, Pluto, and Mercury, and so I may incorporate an invocation of Mars as well, using the Masculine/Feminine energies to unify the working.

Such is a brief description of how I personally utilize Astrology in my workings. I'll write further on this when I have the time.

Everyone to whom I've spoken in the past who has gone and seen these has said that they are stored in an attic or storeroom, and special permission had to be acquired to see them - a process that was generally started months in advance. They're not on display - they're in storage.

The institute has the entire Gerald York collection of papers. My understanding is that the Harris paintings are there in part by arrangement through York. That's what I meant in mny previous post (when typing tersely from my cell phone) about "issues concerning the royal family."

You see if the group equates "evolution to higher levels" exclusively with either "glittering images" or "dark slime" (or some other one-sided paradigm) and plan accordingly. 😆

John Dee didn't call the system "Enochian" - he called it the Angelical Language, etc. The name "Enochian" was given by later generations, because it came from Dee writing that he wanted to talk with God's angels as had the prophet Enoch.

It's as real as Genesis. (Draw your own conclusions on what that means <g>.)
