My personal favourite of Little Essays Toward Truth is the essay on Silence, which in my view is one of the best things that Crowley wrote.

I also find very interesting Crowley's Commentary on Blavatsky's The Voice of the Silence, which he regarded as her masterwork. It's all about detecting and being attuned to the silent self, Harpocrates, Hoor-paar-kraat, which of course is connected with the Holy Guardian Angel, the bringing to men and women the Knowledge and Conversation of which he regarded as his particular work.

His drawing 'The Way', which he placed as the frontispiece to his Commentary on The Voice of the Silence, is in my view a glyph or articulation of this Voice, hence its placement.

Not completely relevant, but my nickname here in Big Sur was "Kilo-he," which is Hawaiian for "little rascal," or "little trickster." It has a slightly more derogatory meaning in that language, though. 😀"

Incidentally, being from Hawaii myself, I was more influence by a Hawaiian tongue when I fell upon "Heyonah." 😄

Thanks. That is another aspect I have been trying to keep into perspective is that time need not enter into the equation at all since the tree (as well as our subjective experience of time) is more of a mental construct.

hi yall new here but it sounds to me like the cards are saying to form a schedule and stick to it as a way to focus your innate need for mental excellence you pulled 4 earths and then your lower self right?

wow wow wow i just stumbled on this and i just thought, how could you seperate "magick" into black or white, good or evil, (except by levis standard, but his condratictions are clearly set straight in the veil of isis where we enthrone the devil into the sun!) it has to must be one, or else it gives rise to results none! you cannot serve two masters you hate the one and love the other. one is the magus, two his forces, 4 his weapons, these are the seven vultures of evil, and the magus is love and by love he bindeth this and that!

Time zones are relatively recent invention (it was a slow transition from about 1880-1930, mainly in reaction to railroad planning). Before that, most places kept local time based on solar time, where they would adjust their clocks to the sun . If you spent any time away from major western cities, you kind of had to use solar time, if you wanted to stick to a tight schedule... 😉
