To say Tiphareth = attainment of Higher Self and Binah = attainment of HGA is a pretty big assertion. I cannot find anything that resembles your claim in Magick Without Tears. Perhaps you're thinking of Crowley's comment that the physical equivalent of the Higher Self is onanism whereas the HGA is sexual intercourse..

I see it more as affirming 0=2 ; Kether being the point that marks the center of the circle known as 0 (or is it on the circumfrence ? - I can see it both ways).

Though, to expand a bit on what I said earlier : Being that it sprials in and out at the same time, it appears to be a static point.

**Well lately I've been seeing Ra Hoor Khuit as the silent self within, in Jungian terms. The part of me that demands expression, but the part that I usually silence to fit into the culture. When you put a lid on something, you know what happens. This is why I think chapter 3 of Liber AL is all about FORCE. In the past, being a peaceful type, I have denied that, thinking subconsciously I couldn't handle it, if I released it. But lately I've been allowing myself to scream, shout, and get all excited when doing ritual. It makes for a powerful cathartic experience.

Once again, I think the Aeons and Equinoxes aren't actually literal, but rather symbollic. As Robert Anton Wilson once said, don't mistake the map for the territory.**

This means being on this list will be even more of an eye opener, than it has been.

I agree with that all the way up to the last phrase. I disagree that one is unready to pursue the Path - rather, one's weakness shows what one must overcome as one's next step in pursuing the Path that one obviously is already on if a 1=10 encountering this distinctive ordeal of that grade.

Path-working is a process of exploring a specific Path of the Tree of Life for purposes generally specific to that Path, and almost invariably limited to the World of Yetzirah.

Rising on the Planes is a process of transcending (eventually) the Four Worlds or (intermediately) substrata within Yetzirah. It's purpose is altitudinal.

What I was trying to say is that to me blood symbolizes redemption, not death and destruction. Ownership of the forces that are in command is the best card we have to play. We have to decide what is most important, money, greed, and it's power, or life, light, and liberty. Being governed with laws that our internal moral make-up would dictate to us anyway if we were allowed to hear its voice is insulting to our intelligence and assumes the worst of us without allowing the natural course to see it's day.. Despite of everything we are truly good at heart and perhaps anarchy would not be quite as horrific as we have been lead to think it may..

Let there be blood I say. For what I meant as disbelief in the time frame of the aeon of Horus is that if there is still a society who wishes to be ruled by capitalism and democracy come 2013 then I will rest my case. I think that the people are ready for truth and the deceivers of truth will soon face judgement day.. Heart to feather.

Well, my primary form of working is archetype work -- one form of this is called 'active imagination' by Jung, but there are varying forms with varying traditional backgrounds. I call it meditation but it is definitely 'active', not so much intellectually as experientially (when done right).

I think there are a lot of definitions of meditation which are simply someone's personal way of using the words based on the mental models they've got about it. Eons ago I used to do TM (Transcendental Meditation) which is the 'no-mind' sort most people associate with the term "meditation". It was nicely relaxing but about 180 degrees removed from what I do now.

There's a lot of stuff that our language fails to have enough words to cover (and sometimes has none at all for). I think making "labels" be more flexible and letting the details of something define what it "is" helps a lot in these areas.

Usually, yes - as well as in the personal preliminaries - as always, assume they are done correctly.

Exactly! This whole thing occurred to me while studying and meditating on Liber Samekh and the points from our previous conversation. I was ultimately, I think, looking for a self-sufficient, self-contained bridal of this type of magick (suitable partners are hard to come by for this).

This formula was highly revered by crowley and I am beginning to see why, with all the symbolism of the 5=6 within initiation brought down to the material plane.

Not so particular a result. That would be over-defining it. In particular, it is a force that, once mastered, can be directed outward upon other things.

To cover the more general topic: Widdershins motion has at least the following possible uses:

The cancellation of a matched deosil current: equal-and-opposite negates. (This is the specific way the old G.D. employed it in the First Order.)

The invoking of an annihilatory current.

More simply, as a banishing current (at least in some contexts).

For the invocation of lunar and cthonic energies.

For the shifting of consciousness from the terrestrial ("The Sun moves clockwise around the earth each day") to the (let us call it) post-terrestrial ("the earth turns counter-clockwise against the relatively stationary position of the Sun") - this is the way it is used, for example, in the A.'.A.'. 2=9 initiation to move from the terrestrial or elemental field to the planetary.

not necessarily, but often there will be some corresondence you can find between the numbers generated by each system.

in my opinion, the greek cabala just isn't as satifactory. if i'm transliterating or translating for the purpose of gematria, i Always go for the hebrew.

yes, indeed. Thank you very much.

I personally have loved getting acquainted with Steven Levitts work, and have recommended both his book and the video to many people. His reasoning on this issue is insightful and from my own person work with unwanted inner city children, very very true. Sad, but true.

As for the religious ramifications....the fear of burning in hell for all eternity has lost it ability to help people make right choices....

Education is paramount to making good choices, information makes that possible.

An intteresting aside, well interesting to me...

I live in the town where a suspected Jack the Ripper came from, as an man who would perform abortions on prostitutes. He had many misfortunes here, and fled to England, where he supposedly got involved in some activities of the, ahem, well....he liked young boys, and he had a few lads in England that he employed or such.... My maternal family actually lived in the area of those murders, at that time. Well years later after doing local history research here, I came across a source that claimed the AC was connected as well to these murders, which may have been brutally failed abortions, and then went on to become some science project gone bad....
