Hello Starfire!
I think this is a great question - and my answer to it is just that, it's an answer for myself and how I relate to this book - so others naturally may not share it with me.
I relate to your question! Here are a few points
Liber AL has qualities that both attract and repel the reader. What may attract or repel may be different for most readers.
The 'truthiness' of each chapter and how it is cloaked is very relevant. Nuit gives us 'certainty' and seduces us, so it makes sense that chapter is the most appealing and 'trustworthy'. Hadit is the mysterious world of the inner life, where symbols, tricks, illusions can both fool us and guide us - so be careful here! Things get shakey a bit with Hadit, but not quite scary like RHK and chapter 3. RHK - well much of this is my own, but RHK is the most 'mysterious' of the chapters, and the most 'dangerous' of chapters, and the most UNPREDICTABLE of chapters because, well RHK is US, humanity at this stage, so fuckin' A its a scary chapter because us humans are pretty scary - but its more than that.
Remember all of RHK is for 'beauty's sake...and for love's!' What is frightening is all the blood and war and gruesome flesh eating, YIKES can scare the beejus out of any fun loving soul. Maybe this clue will help you. Some parts of the world have hidden treasure locations, like gorgeous lakes or secluded areas. Many of these areas have names such as 'Devil's Pike' and 'Demon's Depth'. Funny thing is some of the names of these places were given so they would scare away the public and keep their beauty safe and hidden from corruption.
Chapter 3 discloses secrets about humanity at this stage. These secrets are for those in service to humanity to unlock, and use as tools in their true will, which ultimately is the ascension not just of the aspirant but also all of humanity. One of the ordeals an aspirant faces is the illusion of their own projections confused as the thing in itself. Look at chapter 3 as a 'gymnasium' for this process, and loaded with treasures. Every line that freaks you out is just your own cloak of your own treasure.
If you're insights are not filled with 'leaping laughter' and 'the vice of kings, compassion', you're probably taking chapter 3 too seriously and buying into your own projections too much.
ain't nothing there but beauty and love. its up to you to figure out how that marriage works.
now that this mystery of letters is done, I want to go back to my morning coffee
Cheers!
