Does the A.M.M. near you only take masons who are part of Florida masonry? Or do they accept masons from other states?

Pretty sure he means is "a" MM - master mason. Again, as far as I know Memphis rite is classified as extinct, and regular masons would be forbidden from joining any "clandestine" groups practicing it. I would check with the masons themselves to be sure.

The only thing I know that came from the S.R.I.A. are the names of the grades ( which came from the earlier German 'Golden Rosicrucians' Order ) and the Admission Badges ( which incidentially account for the "form" of much of the Elemental Rituals ). But the Rituals in the S.R.I.A. were much more simplistic and were basically circling around the floor and stopping in front of the various Officers to listen to various speeches, etc.

The Scepters of the G.D. came from the 4th 'Royal Arch' degree in Europe where the Eastern Officer held a very similiar "Crown-headed scepter" and the Southern Officer held something that looked very similiar to the "Mitre-headed" scepter ). The Western Officer did not hold a sword though, instead an "all seeing eye" was at the top of the corresponding scepter.

AFAIK only the indirect one of giving expression to the 22 Hebrew letters which form the architecture of those gates.

I did, and used it for a while, to be honest my imagination is so bad there was hardly any distinguishable feature between an angel and a human figure with human/jackal/hawk/monkey head. And most of what I ever got out of their element attributions is a faint colour.

It did something, not sure what that something is, but it definitely did excite my mind a bit. In the end I think the original is better, not that my opinion on it counts. It was on a blog somewhere, I think it is deleted, but google still keeps a cache of it.

Sounds about right - after all, Binah is Sephirah No. 3.

Binah is the Mother of Form - it heads the Pillar of Form, so anything formative of what we experience would have its roots there.

That's a great observation that the Empress is showing the sign of alchemical salt. I took a closer look and the Priestess and the Emperor are likewise displaying the signs for mercury and sulphur, respectively. It's unmistakable.

But if so, how does the attribution of Priestess = Mercury, Empress = Salt and Emperor = Sulphur map onto the Tree in a coherent and meaningful process? The mapping might make sense if Binah=Salt, Chokmah=Sulphur and Kether=Mercury, i.e. correlating the three alchemical primes/gunas to the Supernals. But that's not how AC saw it.

No, I think you're missing the layout. The layout is three rows of seven letters each. Within each row, the sequence is right-to-left. The rows themselves move top-to-bottom.

I think maybe you're trying to make a 22 x 22 grid? That would be interesting for Sepher Yetzirah type "231 Gates" meditations. I have no reason, though, to think that it's the point intended in CCXX 3:73. That seems to me to intend one set of sheets arranged in rows and columns, the columns being right-to-left and the rows top-to-bottom.

Technically, it doesn't say anything is untrue beyond 7=4. It just says that it "is true up to the grade of Adeptus Exemptus."

Those are quite different statements.

However... having said that... I think V.V.V.V.V.'s note was meant to be read as you seem to have read it. I can only give my personal opinion on this, which is that the story told in the 22 verses of Liber 231 portrays the sort of projection that is shed its hold in the Abyss.

This is a critical distinction for a Class A document (but wouldn't have been a necessary observation if that had been a Class B or, better yet, Class C document). Class A documents are Neshamah-level expressions, and Liber 231 is the only document in this class that is distinguished with this particular kind of annotation.

At what point did he abandon those notes? ...I have found some interesting proofs using chronological number assignments to the letter ordering displayed in his notes.

Does the fact that he abandoned it prove it bogus? ...he abandoned Liber L for a time as well...

I think one of the greatest dangers with the QBL is the tendency to take the symbolism too far.

One must understand that it is all just symbols and one must understand what the symbols represent to avoid flights of intellectual futility.

I just discovered Liber CVI & I don't think one could do much better than that.
