Crowley’s comment on memory is interesting to read in context of Plato’s concept of recognition and anamnesis and Path of Return.

Actually, Crowley does say mantrayoga is a branch of pranayama. One relevant quote is from Eight Lectures on Yoga - Lecture 4, Paragraph 29:

Interesting. When I originally posted, I took 'pranayama' as 'control of breath' of which the latter is actually a branch of the former. Mantrayoga is certainly a form of 'pranayama' insofar as pranayama refers to the control/constraining of 'prana' and not simply breath-work as I took it.

That depends on the orgasm, of course. But, as few people are (at their present level of training and development) are capable of attaining any state approximating samadhi, it would be exceptionally rare (taking all orgasms in the world into consideration) for it to reach samadhi.

BTW I'm working under the assumption that by "the Orgasm Trance" you mean the standard everyday experience of orgasm to any particular person.

An average person's average orgasm probably doesn't even constitute a decent dharana. But an unusually spectacular one (measured against the same average) would have distinctive dhyana type of characteristics.

And some orgasms for some people partake of a samadhi quality.

I have heard from several different sources that Tetragrammaton was instruction in sex magick...I think that through the correspondance of the Cherub with Tetragrammaton I naturally included the Alchemical symbols of the Lion & the Eagle & thus assumed that the Man & Bull represented the other end of the equation.

Can someone tell me what Tetragrammaton would represent in terms of sex magick?

I don't have a copy around right now, but you might find Yeats' <i>A Vision</i> interesting. It's a difficult text, and his comments on it don't help much. But he refers to the Full and New Moon times as points when "no man is truly himself." (We can assume he meant women too!) The whole text covers the full 28 days.

The two extremes of the lunar cycle are going to bring out the extremes in ourselves. The Moon represents subconsciousness - what's inside us. I often feel low or unable to do much with myself at Full Moon, and relieved at New Moon. New Moon often marks a release from burdens or accumulated tensions.

If the Moon is reflecting sunlight (self-authority, or activation of patterns) then there can be too much at Full Moon, and a death/rebirth point at New Moon.

In terms of natal charts, check out solunars.net . It's a sidereal astrology board run by our very own super-magus Jim Eshelman himself! The free natal charts on the web out there are mostly tropical, and tropical astrology is completely inaccurate as it does not take into account the procession of the equinoxes. On the Solunars forum there is even a place where you can request your own sidereal natal chart and you'll get it rather quickly too! It is an AMAZING resource brimming with information, you'll get lost in there 😀 . Check it out.

When I first had the Vision there was no implication of the Nepthys, Isis or the Child...there was simply a Kabbalah connoting siamese twin, half brown, half grey, with 2 heads, 3 breasts & a Babe suckling the Middle One...it was another Brother that alerted me to fact that Nepthys & Isis corresponded to Binah & Chokmah.
It is always nice to have others help evaluate &, hopefully validate, your experiences. 😀

Kuniggety is right as far as I can tell about PATIENCE! I waited a whole year after first making contact with my lineage before being accepted as a "student" officially, I thought it might have been the end of my "probationer" year but no such luck.. One thing I might add is that I did slowly accumulate all of the printed texts on AC's required student reading list for the A.'.A.'. but my lineage had updated it quite a bit for the current times so if you're strapped for cash like I was ya might want to wait until you have a specific reading list from the particular line to which you're applying. You can embark upon it on your own certainly and read all of the original selections which are all most definitely profound. I think the most important thing is just putting it out there to the universe how serious you are about studying and what you would like to manifest into your life... Blessed be!

I don't know if this would be helpful or not...

However, the relationship between the Cards and IHVH is presented graphically by the images, particularly in the Initiated decks.

Yod - Atziluth - Emmanation - Abba (Father), ie the Force emanated and coming forth from the infinite is represented by the Knight as the motive force. In other words the Knight is sitting atop a "Horse" = Motive Force.

Heh - Briah - Creation - Imma (Mother), is seated on a "Throne".

Since Father and Mother produce the "Son" the figure riding in the Chariot (Combination of Horse and Throne) is Vav - Yetzirah - Formation - Son.

The Heh final has feet firmly planted on the ground and represents the "Earthing" of the other forces. The Daughter - Sister - Bride.

FIAT refers to the 4-in-1 (like Horus), the 4 elements in 1 quintessence, and also as Eshelman notes.. means 'let there be...' as in Fiat Lux (let there be light).

When FIAT is enthroned, your 'self' is annihilated in 'Unity'... the day of 'Be-with-us' (K&C of HGA, Union with God, etc.)
